{"id":178201,"date":"2021-05-11T15:31:09","date_gmt":"2021-05-11T13:31:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=178201"},"modified":"2021-05-11T15:31:09","modified_gmt":"2021-05-11T13:31:09","slug":"conclusions-of-polish-scientists-on-covid-19-in-the-united-nations-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/conclusions-of-polish-scientists-on-covid-19-in-the-united-nations-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Conclusions of Polish scientists on COVID-19 in the United Nations report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The position of the COVID-19 advisory team to the president of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) was presented in the United Nations report on science, technology and innovation for sustainable development.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The authors of the report &#8220;Emerging science, frontier technologies, and the SDGs &#8211; Perspectives from the UN system and science and technology communities&#8221; included tasks to facilitate a smooth recovery from a pandemic, which were formulated by members of the COVID-19 team in their statement\u00a0no. 13\u00a0published at the end of March.\u00a0Polish scientists call to strengthen the health service, invest in science and education, and build trust.\u00a0They listed lessons such as:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Strong and independent institutions are essential:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Task 1: Let&#8217;s invest in a modern health care system,<\/p>\n<p>Task 2: Let&#8217;s build professional and independent expert institutions in the field of public health,<\/p>\n<p>Task 3: Give experts access to data,<\/p>\n<p>Task 4: Invest in science and education.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>We need a society of solidarity:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Task 5: Build Trust<\/p>\n<p>Task 6: Let&#8217;s work together, the common good pays off to everyone,<\/p>\n<p>Task 7: Let&#8217;s learn to live in a pandemic,<\/p>\n<p>Task 8: Make Political Choices With Long Term Thinking.<\/p>\n<p>More:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate?hl=ru&amp;prev=_t&amp;sl=pl&amp;tl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2021-05\/IATT%2520report%2520on%2520emerging%2520techs%25202021.pdf\">https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2021-05\/IATT%20report%20on%20emerging%20techs%202021.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The position of the COVID-19 advisory team to the president of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) was presented in the United Nations report on science, technology and innovation for sustainable development.
