Jerzy \u0141\u0105tka from the Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology won the ninth FameLab Poland &#8211; a competition for science popularizers.\u00a0In the final part, Dr \u0141\u0105tka talked about paper architecture &#8211;\u00a0especially its aid aspect, i.e. creating houses made of paper for victims of natural disasters and military conflicts.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The scientist from the Department of Architecture and Visual Arts was awarded for his joyful freedom of expression and for showing science in everyday ordinary material, for an important topic related to ecology and waste management as well as social issues \u2013 said the jury in the justification.<\/p>\n<p>FameLab is an international competition for students, scientists and people involved in applying science in everyday life.\u00a0The participants present the selected scientific issue to the audience on the stage.\u00a0They have only three minutes to present their idea with only those props that they can bring to the stage themselves.<\/p>\n<p>More:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate?hl=ru&amp;prev=_t&amp;sl=pl&amp;tl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/pwr.edu.pl\/uczelnia\/aktualnosci\/dr-jerzy-latka-najlepszy-w-konkursie-famelab-poland-11998.html\">https:\/\/pwr.edu.pl\/uczelnia\/aktualnosci\/dr-jerzy-latka-najlepszy-w-konkursie-famelab-poland-11998.html<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr Eng.
