{"id":175493,"date":"2021-04-19T13:07:08","date_gmt":"2021-04-19T11:07:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=175493"},"modified":"2021-04-19T13:07:08","modified_gmt":"2021-04-19T11:07:08","slug":"researchers-from-the-university-of-lodz-developing-a-method-of-soil-purification-by-plants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/researchers-from-the-university-of-lodz-developing-a-method-of-soil-purification-by-plants\/","title":{"rendered":"Researchers from the University of Lodz developing a method of soil purification by plants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dr Magdalena Urbaniak, University of Lodz and El\u017cbieta Mierzejewska,<\/strong> <strong>a PhD student of the University of Lodz are working on an effective and\u00a0safe method of soil cleaning by plants.\u00a0The scientists believe that cucurbits (cucumbers, squash, zucchini, melon or watermelon) are particularly effective for this process.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first research results show that cucurbits have extremely beneficial cleansing properties and are not harming to their environment \u2013 informs the Promotion Center of the University of Lodz.<\/p>\n<p>The results obtained so far will be developed and\u00a0supplemented by foreign research internships: Dr Magdalena Urbaniak will continue it in\u00a0Japan, at the Kobe University, which is a leading unit in the\u00a0field of plant genetics.
