Katarzyna Krasowska, vice-dean for organization and development of the Faculty of Architecture of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, is a laureate of the competition for the Minister of Development Award for diploma theses, doctoral dissertations and publications in the fields of architecture and construction, spatial planning and development, and housing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The competition jury appreciated her doctoral dissertation &#8220;Sustainable development of small towns in Western Pomerania after Poland&#8217;s accession to the European Union&#8221;.\u00a0In her work, she was looking for a method that would allow for an ordered assessment of development changes taking place in the urban space, based on the example of selected small towns in Western Pomerania.<\/p>\n<p>The researcher from Szczecin designed a city monitoring model adapted to the possibility of obtaining data at the commune level.\u00a0It is universal in nature, it can be a tool to support building a development strategy for small, medium and large cities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr Eng.
