{"id":174743,"date":"2021-04-13T16:23:53","date_gmt":"2021-04-13T14:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=174743"},"modified":"2021-04-13T16:23:53","modified_gmt":"2021-04-13T14:23:53","slug":"scientists-of-the-wroclaw-university-of-science-and-technology-develop-protective-locks-for-hospitals-in-legnica-and-wroclaw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/scientists-of-the-wroclaw-university-of-science-and-technology-develop-protective-locks-for-hospitals-in-legnica-and-wroclaw\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientists of the Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology develop protective locks for hospitals in Legnica and Wroc\u0142aw"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Scientists from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology have constructed a lock for the effective isolation of people infected with the coronavirus.\u00a0The first cabins have already been installed in hospitals in Legnica and Wroc\u0142aw.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The prototype of the lock was created in June 2020 as a response to the problem of effective isolation of patients with COVID-19, especially in facilities and wards not adapted to this challenge.\u00a0The goal was to design a quick-assembly lock that would provide medical personnel with better protection than, for example, alternatively used strip curtains, and would be cheap (up to approx.
