The 10th competition for the best master’s thesis devoted to consumer protection\u00a0and the 12th competition for the best master’s thesis devoted to competition protection were\u00a0completed.\u00a0Competitions are organized by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.\u00a0The competition’s partners are the Competition Law Association and the Polish Economic Society.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The submitted works concerned antitrust law, incl.\u00a0agreements restricting competition, concentration control or forms of state aid, and consumer issues such as: consumer rights, misleading market practices\u00a0or distance contracts.<\/p>\n

The competition jury assessed substantive quality of the work, form, innovative approach to the issue and editorial level.<\/p>\n

The winner of the “competition” category is Anna Czuchryta, who defended her thesis “Standard of evidence in European Union competition law” written with Prof.\u00a0Robert Grzeszczak, University of Warsaw.<\/p>\n

In the “consumers” category,\u00a0Klaudia Koman was\u00a0awarded\u00a0for her work “Contracts for the provision of digital content and services and consumer protection in the internal market: Directive 2019\/770 and the\u00a0prospect of its implementation into Polish law”. The thesis was presented under the supervision of Prof.\u00a0Monika Namys\u0142owska, University of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
