{"id":173383,"date":"2021-04-01T19:30:43","date_gmt":"2021-04-01T17:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=173383"},"modified":"2021-04-01T19:30:43","modified_gmt":"2021-04-01T17:30:43","slug":"polish-seym-receives-a-bill-on-the-establishment-of-the-zamosc-academy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/polish-seym-receives-a-bill-on-the-establishment-of-the-zamosc-academy\/","title":{"rendered":"Polish Seym receives a bill on the establishment of the Zamo\u015b\u0107 Academy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A group of Law and Justice MPs submitted to the Sejm a bill on the establishment of the Zamo\u015b\u0107 Academy.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>It will be established on the basis of the Szymon Szymonowic Higher School.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Zamo\u015b\u0107 Academy was founded in 1594 by Jan Zamoyski and was the third university in Poland after the Krakow and Vilnius academies.\u00a0One of its lecturers was Stanis\u0142aw Staszic.\u00a0In 1784, the Austrians liquidated the university.<\/p>\n<p>In the justification, the applicants emphasize that education in the Academy will be &#8220;based on the history, in-depth Polish humanities and social studies, taught in the spirit of philosophical realism and the Christian national tradition&#8221;.\u00a0In addition, other disciplines such as medical and health sciences, safety sciences, and agricultural sciences may be included.\u00a0The Academy&#8217;s offer would be addressed to future educators, media employees, local and state administration, as well as people directly or indirectly related to security, involved in public health service, and dealing with the protection, dissemination and scientific analysis of the cultural heritage of Poles.<\/p>\n<p>The applicants add that the reactivation of the Zamo\u015b\u0107 Academy is part of the Project of the Development Strategy for the Lubelskie Voivodeship until 2030.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A group of Law and Justice MPs submitted to the Sejm a bill on the establishment of the Zamo\u015b\u0107 Academy.\u00a0It will be established on the basis of the Szymon Szymonowic Higher School.
