So, is COVID-19 a respiratory disease or a systemic disease?

In search of an answer to this question, the authors of the publication conducted a wide analysis of their own results and the data available in the literature. In their opinion, virus infection is not limited to the respiratory system, and patients often die of multi-organ failure connected with from COVID-19.

More:

https://cmr.asm.org/content/34/2/e00133-20

Scientists of the Malopolska Center of Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University (MCB UJ) are discussing the latest discoveries related to the molecular biology of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in their work published in “Clinical Microbiology Reviews”.
