As specialists in the field of single-atom precision fabrication of nanostructures and characterization of thin layers of materials, scientists from Aalto University in Finland created two-dimensional magnetic islands of chromium bromide.

Topological materials are currently the subject of enormous interest of leading research centers in the world and commercial companies (e.g. Microsoft, Google).

More:

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-020-2989-y

Dr Szczepan Głodzik, Institute of Physics of the Maria Curie Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin is the co-author of the article titled “Topological superconductivity in a van der Waals heterostructure” published in the December issue of the journal “Nature”.
