It is based in the city of Auburn, USA. It brings together scientists, engineers, consultants, and producers of specialized equipment and software. It cooperates with about 50 national or regional scientific societies and organizations from all over the world. It publishes a scientific journal, conducts expert and scholarship activities, and organizes global scientific congresses with 800 to 1,200 participants from over 70 countries each year.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Marek Pawe\u0142czyk has worked for the Institute since 1997, and in the years 2012-2014 he was its president.
