The award is achieved &#8220;for research in life sciences and physical sciences that shows great potential for possible applications and international impact&#8221;. Its amount is EUR 1 million. The award is funded by the K\u00f6rber Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The laureate is selected by an international jury.
