The distinctions were awarded by the Regional Contact Point for European Union Research Programs in Krakow.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Jagiellonian University was selected the most active participant in the European Union&#8217;s Horizon 2020 framework program of the Ma\u0142opolskie and Podkarpackie voivodeships in the &#8220;universities&#8221; category. It received the &#8220;Horizon Star 2020&#8221; for 7 coordinations and 51 participations in the program.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Micha\u0142 Nemeth and Dr Tomasz \u017buradzki won the most prestigious European Research Council (ERC) grants in Europe in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Micha\u0142 N\u00e9meth specializes in research on the history of the Karaim language based on editions of written sources.
