Krzysztof Dro\u017cd\u017col, the Department of Bridges, Geotechnics and Construction Processes of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture of the Opole University of Technology designed a chimney system that cares for the environment, minimizes the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and enables heat reuse.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; In the developed chimney, an air space was used, constituting a jacket on the flue gas pipe. The air flowing through this jacket receives heat, reducing the temperature by up to 65%. in the case of the analyzed steel chimney. This jacket is an additional protection against the leakage of exhaust gases into the building in the event of a leak in the exhaust duct &#8211; explains the creator of the solution.<\/p>\n<p>The first research model of the chimney, dedicated to flue gas from wood-burning stoves, has already hit the Finnish market.
