They searched for gas clouds with the OH molecule maser amplification. They discovered seven new sources, each bringing scientists closer to understanding the birth of massive stars.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Their success is described in the prestigious &#8220;Astronomy and Astrophysics&#8221; in a newly published article &#8220;A search for the OH 6035 MHz line in high-mass star-forming regions&#8221; by scientists of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science: Prof. Marian Szymczak, Dr Pawe\u0142 Wolak, Dr Anna Bartkiewicz and PhD students: Micha\u0142 Durjasz and Miros\u0142awa Aramowicz from the University of Wroc\u0142aw.<\/p>\n<p>The publication is the result of months of observations of radiation coming from the Milky Way, from the spiral arms of this galaxy, where a lot of matter, gas and dust accumulate.
