Prof. Krawczyk is one of the most important figures in Polish medicine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prof. Krawczyk is a graduate of the Medical Academy in Warsaw and a specialist in the field of general and oncological surgery and clinical transplantation.<\/p>\n<p>In 2008-2016, he was the rector of the Medical University of Warsaw, full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Learning.<\/p>\n<p>As the head of the Clinic, he created a live donor liver transplant program what resulted in the first successful isolation of a liver fragment from a living donor for a child (transplantation at the Children&#8217;s Memorial Health Institute) held in 1999, at the Warsaw clinic, Poland,<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prof. Marek Krawczyk, MD, received an honorary doctorate of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce.
