The Club\u2019s members want to use solar energy to produce hydrogen, then store it and use it to produce electricity.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first element of the installation is an electrolyser, i.e. a device that converts water into hydrogen and oxygen, consisting of a negatively charged cathode, and a positively charged anode. By applying a current to them, they divide particles of water into elements.<\/p>\n<p>Students intend to use photovoltaic panels as a power source in one of the buildings on the main campus of the university. The last element of their apparatus will be a fuel cell, i.e. a system that produces electricity from hydrogen and oxygen.
