The medieval port in the Bay of Puck was the pilot site for researchers of the Center for Underwater Archeology at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru\u0144.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>10 partners from Poland, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia and Italy were involved in the project. The main goal was to reconstruct and visualize the inaccessible archaeological heritage &#8211; the medieval port situated at the mouth of P\u0142utnica to the Bay of Puck.<\/p>\n<p>The research was carried out in stages, starting with the collection and digitization of scattered archival documentation. Then, hydroacoustic and seismic scans were performed. The scientists made aeronautical and photogrammetric documentation in selected areas.<\/p>\n<p>Analyzing the data allowed to reconstruct the history of the port by dividing it into five different periods.
