She is the first woman to lead the University of Lodz.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Professor El\u017cbieta \u017b\u0105dzi\u0144ska is a graduate of the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences, University of Lodz. She completed her biological studies in 1990. In 1999, she obtained a doctorate in biological sciences, and in 2005 she became an associate professor in biological sciences. In 2014, she received a professor&#8217;s title.<\/p>\n<p>For 25 years of work at the University of Lodz, she has completed all stages of a scientific career: from scientific and technical worker to professor. In 2005\u20132008 she was the vice-dean of the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, and for the next eight years she was elected the dean.
