The winner will be conducting research at the University of Virginia, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics for a year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The BioLAB program is intended for students of master&#8217;s and doctoral studies in biology, chemistry and medicine. During the internship, students will join research teams conducting projects in neurology, crystallography, virology and molecular genetics.<\/p>\n<p>The results of their research often become the basis for articles published in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as &#8220;Nature&#8221;, &#8220;Proteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics&#8221; and &#8220;Acta Crystallographica.&#8221; BioLAB scholarship holders also take an active part in the life of an American university, participate in seminars, guest lectures, and learn about American culture.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marta Cykowiak from the Department of Pharmaceutical Biochemistry of the Medical University of Pozna\u0144 joined the BioLAB 2020-21 Program of the Polish-American Fulbright Commission.
