Aleksandra Ma\u0144kowska, MA from the Institute of Psychology was awarded in the category of humanities and social sciences, and Dr Karolina Pierzynowska from the Department of Molecular Biology, in the category of exact and natural sciences.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aleksandra Ma\u0144kowska received the award for outstanding achievements in neuropsychological foundations of orienting visual attention, and Dr. Pierzynowska was awarded for achievements in the search for new therapies and methods of treating neurodegenerative diseases.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Gda\u0144sk Award for Young Scientists is the most important prize for young researchers in Pomerania region.
