{"id":116526,"date":"2020-02-21T16:04:41","date_gmt":"2020-02-21T15:04:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=116526"},"modified":"2020-02-21T16:04:41","modified_gmt":"2020-02-21T15:04:41","slug":"scholars-of-the-university-of-gdansk-receive-grants-in-the-sonata-bis-9-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/scholars-of-the-university-of-gdansk-receive-grants-in-the-sonata-bis-9-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholars of the University of Gda\u0144sk receive grants in the Sonata BiS 9 competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three scholars of the University of Gda\u0144sk will carry out their research projects thanks to funding from the Sonata BiS 9 competition of the National Science Center.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Danuta Gutowska-Owsiak from the inter-university faculty of biotechnology of the University of Gda\u0144sk and the Medical University of Gda\u0144sk will implement the project &#8220;Intelligent antigen delivery to achieve effective allergen tolerance&#8221;, with funding amount: PLN 3,824,800.<\/p>\n<p>Grants were also won by scientists from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science: Dr Karolina Kropielnicka will receive financing 1 575 thousand PLN\u00a0 for the project entitled &#8220;Computational mathematics in quantum mechanics&#8221;, and Dr S\u0142awomir Werbowy will receive1 105 thousand PLN for the project &#8220;Ion fragmentation of hydrocarbon compounds in collisions with gases occurring in interstellar matter&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The Sonata BiS competition is addressed to people who have at least a doctoral title obtained in the period from 5 to 12 years before the year of submitting the application.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three scholars of the University of Gda\u0144sk will carry out their research projects thanks to funding from the Sonata BiS 9 competition of the National Science Center.
