The research and training grant will enable her to conduct pioneering research in Manchester.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Patrycja Or\u0142owska-Feuer as part of the received 2-year scholarship will conduct research at Manchester University along with Prof. Robert Lucas.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to &#8220;compare the participation of melanopsin cells (the so-called third type of photoreceptors found in the retina of mammals) in the processing of visual information in nocturnal (mouse) and daytime rodents (Rhabdomys; grass mouse &#8211; a rodent closely related to mice found in the wild in Africa and with daily activity)&#8221;.
