The second place was taken by a\u00a0 noun \u201eclimate\u201d, which received 9.24 percent of the vote. The word \u201cscooter\u201d was the third, with 5.99 percent of the vote, said the organizer of the &#8220;Word of the Year 2019&#8221; competition, University of Warsaw.<\/p>\n<p>Voting for &#8220;Word of the Year 2019&#8221; lasted from October 26 to December 31. A total of 34,000 votes were submitted in the online voting competition. Participants could have also submitted their own proposals, but eventually one of the ten proposals presented by the Chapter won.<\/p>\n<p>The Word of the Year plebiscite jury included: Jerzy Bartmi\u0144ski (Maria Curie Sk\u0142odowska University in Lublin), Jerzy Bralczyk (University of Warsaw), Katarzyna K\u0142osi\u0144ska (University of Warsaw), Ewa Ko\u0142odziejek (University of Szczecin), Marek \u0141azi\u0144ski (University of Warsaw), Andrzej Markowski ( University of Warsaw), Jan Miodek (University of Wroc\u0142aw), Renata Przybylska (Jagiellonian University in Krak\u00f3w), Halina Zg\u00f3\u0142kowa (Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna\u0144).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The LGBT acronym won 9.90 percent of the vote.
