It includes most often quoted scientists worlwide by the academic environment. This year, it includes representatives of 1,200 institutions from over 60 countries, including 23 Nobel Prize winners.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Ponikowski is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology, head of the Department of Heart Diseases of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Medical University of Wroclaw and the Center of Heart Diseases of the University Clinical Hospital. From February 14, 2019, he has been the rector of the Wroc\u0142aw university.<\/p>\n<p>The list includes Prof. Ponikowski and two Polish cardiologists Prof. Adam Torbicki and Prof. Micha\u0142 Tendera, and a chemist, the late rector of the Gda\u0144sk University of Technology, Prof. Jacek Namie\u015bnik.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Professor Piotr Ponikowski- rector of the Medical University of Wroclaw is one of four Poles on the list of the most influential scientists in the world created by Clarivate Analytics.
