The University of Gdańsk invites participants on February 28 for the first meeting as part of the seminar “Everyday life in couples”. The series will start with the lecture “Materialization of the couple: tension and roles in the process of building a home everyday for two”.
The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Dr Filip Schmidt from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań – author of the book “Couple, flat, marriage. The dynamics of intimate relationships in the context of historical changes and contemporary discussions about the processes of individualization “, published by the Polish Science Foundation.
The dates and topics of the next meetings are: March 7 – about pairs at work; March 28 – non-heteronormative pairs; April 3 – on couples finances and April 10 – on culturally mixed pairs. The co-organizer of the cycle is the Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Sociological Association.
